MATFORCE-Logo-2011-final-ps   MATFORCE was created in March 2006 through an interagency agreement between the county Methamphetamine Advisory Task Force (MATFORCE), Youth Count, and Advocates for Positive Choices (APC). These three groups elected to join forces to collectively address substance abuse issues in Yavapai County.  Coalition members have been recruited to represent law enforcement, the business community, schools, youth, parents, the faith-based community, government, youth-serving agencies, media, healthcare agencies, and the treatment community.

Cultivating Community Through Gardening

What is a Community Garden?
A community garden is a place where neighbors can grow food together on one piece of land. The land is usually lent by a church, school or private land owner, at no charge, for use as a garden space. Separate garden plots are made available to individuals and families in the neighborhood.
